Tandy Jackson

Tandy Frank Jackson, age 72, died on Sunday, June 9, 2019, in Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN. He was born in Knoxville, TN, on October 18, 1946 and spent over 30 years teaching in the Giles County School System. He taught Mathematics and coached baseball. He graduated from Giles County High in 1964 where he excelled academically and in football. He played in numerous local baseball leagues. He was a member of First Baptist Church since 1946 where he was a faithful member of a Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Ministry. He made a decision to follow his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrell T. and Betty Frank Jackson, first wife, Carolyn King Jackson and a niece, Staley Jackson. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Giles Memory Garden. Survivors include his wife, Diana Baker Jackson of Pulaski, TN, his daughters, Tanya Russell and husband Andrew of Franklin, TN and Carrie Dault and husband Gary, of Cookeville, TN, his sister, Michelle Jackson of Pulaski, TN, his brother, Tee Jackson and wife Jackie of Athens, AL, his nephew, Trent Jackson and wife Anna of Moody, AL, his five grandchildren, Nathanial Dault, Will Russell, Alexander Dault, Elizabeth Russell and Lauren Dault, his step daughter, Michelle Gibson and husband Mike of Pulaski, TN, his step son, Matthew Baker of Pulaski, TN, and his four step grandchildren, Logan Gibson, Bryce Gibson, Gage Gibson and Brennan Baker.
